DEAD WEEK?!?!?

apparently it is dead week, but in some classes we are still learning some new material. its very annoying, because next week we have our finals, which are a big deal. Right now we are finishing up about learning about molar mass which is quite simple, and i do not mind learning about. i think that i need to study now.... so ill leave now...

Molecules

This friday we are going to take our molecules test, and i am pretty excited. This week i have been somewhat busy with homework, but i finish my homework a lot faster than i did before. Now, i must study for my molecules test, and whatever things i must for my other classes. OH! and now i am going to play some molecule games in order to test my knowledge in molecules.

THXGVING WKND!!!!

ITS THANKSGIVING AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!!!! TURKEY AND SHOPPING AFTER FRIDAY!!!! I AM GOING TO EAT A LOT OF FOOD, AND HOPEFULLY I CAN FIND STUFF TO BUY ON BLACK FRIDAY.
well anyways, we only had three days of school, so we did not do very much except learn a little bit more about our current unit on MOLECULES!!!!
this is actually a very fun unit because it is somewhat simple to understand except for the memorization of the certain words like trigonal planar and those relating words. but otherwise I am enjoying the weekend, and don't really want to go back to school yet.

PROJECT!

This week has been boring, because the material we are learning about right now, I covered some of it in 8th grade. Therefore, i see this section as very boring. We have a project about a molecule due next week on Tuesday. That is why I am going to work on this over the weekend and hopefully I do a good job.

FUN WEEK????

This week we began our first lab with a Bunsen Burner, and already that is a good sign of a great lab to come up. We ended up burning the tips of bobby pins, and we tested to see which types of methods would have a positive effect on the bobby pin. Wednesday we had the day off to enjoy, and thats exactly what i did. Now, yesterday we used a hot plate to boil "ONIONS ALLOY" which was very entertaining, because once the water began to boil, the alloy melted, and was very fun to play with.

Chemistry

THE COMPUTERS WORK!!! its almost like my worst nightmare... cuz the graphs were due today... im very disappointed in the failure of the library computers. BUT at least we know that our school is not wasting money on people who do not do any work. Well tomorrow is our final test on Ions, Light and bond types. Im going to study now so BYE!

CHEM

HAHA!!! THIS WEEK THE COMPUTERS AT THE LIBRARY DID NOT WORK!!!! so we ended up going back to the classroom and watched a movie... Apparently we were supposed to make a 2 line graph on an experiment that we did, BUT since the computers didn't work we didn't do it. I actually forgot what we did that day.... but it must have been somewhat boring if I didn't remember it... WELLL..... BYE!!

Homecoming Week

This week was Homecoming week. We had dress up days all week, for instance, Monday was black and white day, Tuesday was Horror Day, Wednesday was Wacky Wednesday and Thursday was Western Day. Today, Friday is the day for us to dress up in our class theme, which was Austin Powers. Im not very enthusiastic about our spirit days, so i hardly ever do anything to help our class out. Now this week at school I have been very busy, doing many test, and finishing up a lot of homework. However, i think that because i have had such a lite load of homework in chemistry, it has been a help.
Well I'll type again next week.

CHEM CLASS??????

this week we continued our movie about how E=MC2 came about. We also did worksheets about alpha, beta and gamma decay/radiation. I think that this week was not very exciting in chemistry. Maybe next week wont be so boring....hopefully.

HALF LIFES AND ALBERT EINSTEIN

This past week we first learned about half lives, and how an atom decays. A half life is when the remaining parts of a decaying element begin to decay, and about half of the element decays. Also, we watched a video on how Albert Einstien came about his equation of E=MC2. What his discovery was mainly on researching other peoples work, and elaborating more on it. Therefore, it has been a cumulative thing in order to find the equation of E=MC2. Well, I must begin my worksheet that is due tuesday. See you later....

ANOTHER WEEK OF CHEMISTRY!!!

THIS WEEK WE HAD AN ISATEST!!!!
ITS PRETTY MUCH LIKE AN ISAQUIZ, BUT JUST CALLED AN ISATEST!
AFTER THE ISATEST WE GOT TO PLAYFULLY EXPERIMENT WITH DRY ICE!!!
WE SAW THE DRY ICE REACT WITH H2O, ALSO KNOWN AS WATER.
IT WAS VERY REACTIVE, AND ENDED UP BEGINNING TO BE VERY COLD.
I PUT THE DRY ICE IN A BOTTLE, AND POURED SOME WATER INTO IT.
THE DRY ICE REACTED WITH THE WATER AND PRODUCED SOME SORT OF GAS THAT WOULD BE ABLE TO FILL UP A BALLOON.
WELL I GOTTA STUDY FOR MY UNIT ONE TEST. ITS ON MATTER...

Chemistry

we did not do a lot during this past week, so i consider it to be a boring week.
I mean we got to watch a movie on the power of ten, and we took notes on atoms, but otherwise it was boring. Hopefully it will be a more exciting week next week.

GOT TO WRITE THE UNITS CUZ THE UNITS ARE SO KEYY!!!!!!

This past week in chemisty, I had to sing a song about how to convert different units into a certain unit. It was a very fun activity we were able to do during class, and it will eventually be posted on youtube.(i hope)
i actually had a part in this song, by blurting out GOT TO WRITE THE UNITS CUZ THE UNITS ARE SO KEY!!! I think it was quite embarassing, and quite funny at the same time. Today Mr. Olson decided to show us the video he made, and I saw myself twice screaming out that little phrase. I enjoyed this week especially because we only had four days of school, and tomorrow we have a minimum day, YAY! The only thing I am unhappy about is my grade that i got on the ISAQUIZ, where I scored a 41 out of 50. Well thanks for reading this blog and join me next week to see what things I do.

GARR

I am a very bored person. All i do at home is my homework, go online, watch random Youtube videos, and play games. This is all i have been doing for the past few days, and i consider it to be somewhat boring. I have no clue what to write about, so im going to talk about my interests. personally i am a huge food fan, so almost every thirty minutes i have to eat something. one of the odd things is, i do not gain weight, but maintain it, so i do not need to worry about being an obese person. i enjoy the fact that i can be carefree and eat anything i want.
during chem class yesterday one of my group members decided to be smart and wave around a glass tube. obviously the glass tube slipped from his grip, and fell to the floor. the glass shattered spewing everywhere and stabbed me in the leg. i began bleeding all over the floor that i lost conciousness and was sent to the emergency room.
i didnt really lose consciousness but the broken glass tube did happen.

I'm Andrew and I created this blog for chemistry.
I want to go to college and graduate with at least a 3.9 GPA
GRRRRR.....
This first week of school has been terrible, because we did not get our lockers yet which is driving me CRAZY!!!!!
but otherwise nothing has been very different from being a freshmen other than getting picked on. I have many goals for my life, and one of them is to scout out a college that I like and get into that college. I also wish to major in engineering, and after college i wish to either find a good job or create my own company.
